How about a home video release?

It would be great to see this on VHS or DVD. I was surprised, in 1998, when the 60th anniversary of the Panic Broadcast was being celebrated, that some enterprising entrepreneur didn't think to market this excellent production. (Maybe it could have even been tied in with the great hour-long documentary about the Orsen Welles broadcast narrated by Jim Cameron for the Sci-Fi Channel.) A video jewel!

Only thing I can suggest is contact a distributor who puts out these kind of films (ie Anchor bay or Blue Underground just to name a few) and let them know you would be interested in purchasing this film.

Sometimes asking doesn't hurt. A lot of these companys count on consumer interest to put out their products.

I met writer Nicholas Meyer at a DVD signing last year and asked him about this movie. He was happy that people remembered it and mentioned his friendship with Mercury player Paul Stewart (who was in the radio play). When asked about the likelihood of a video release, he said, "Just wait around. Eventually EVERYTHING will get released - one way or another." Not much to go on, but he was optimistic...

It's a good thing that he is optimistic; there should be a DVD of this. I haven't seen it yet, but I'd like to see it.
