Jason Miller is phenominal in this. It really needs a dvd release.

I wholeheartedly agree. It's ridiculous that it's been taking so long for this movie to make it to DVD. This was Robert Mulligan's third consecutive masterpiece after Summer of '42 and The Other.

Agreed. Miller was superb as Cooper, with stellar support from Bo Hopkins, Linda Haynes, and John Hillerman.

It is definitely an enjoyable little movie with an effective, quietly intense performance by Miller.
