Is this in documentary form?

Years ago, it semms to me that I watched a viedo on q. crisp, and it was in documentary form.... I don't remember anyone in it other than Crisp himself... can anyone give a short synopsis of this film?

It's his life story told in dramatic form, not a documentary.
It is a fascinating story, well told, and acted.
I've seen it many times, and being gay, it gives me an insight into how difficult it must have been to be a 'queer' at that time.

You are remembering the World In Action (Granada Television, UK, documentary series) programme of 1970. This was aired two years after the publication of Crisp’s autobiography and five years before it was made into the TV film. Quentin is interviewed in his tiny room in Chelsea, and only he is in vision during the interview. The interview was obviously recorded in instalments, because Quentin’s costume changes from scene to scene!

This is one of the extras on the DVD of The Naked Civil Servant available in Britain, and makes for fascinating viewing.

You should check his IMDB page. He's been in a few documentaries.
