Such verdant luxury on a 747 since forgotten

In today's cattle car passenger jetliners, who remembers the spacious, commodious, luxurious amenities of going first class on the 747? When you enter a jetliner today, you walk through the small first class section and it looks plain. The main advantage is normal-sized, leather seats, compared to the narrow-width business/economy class seats in back, better suited to pre-teenagers. And to think, airlines are contemplating designing even more narrow seats in order to add another line of seats. Who would have ever though a normal-sized leather seat would be so comfortable?

MURDER ON FLIGHT 502 brings you back to when First Class was really First Class and it was one of life's ambitions was to fly first class on a jetliner. The movie shows the plush seating and upper deck lounge, which goes unused during the movie. The movie doesn't show the 1st class passengers being served their fine dinner but that cut down on production costs.

Today if there's any compelling reason to fly first class it's not for the food, drinks, or better service, it's for the proper, comfortable seating so you can sleep comfortably.
