I agree. I watched this (had seen parts over the years) the other day on cable. This is one of the worst movies ever made!
It is slow, dry, Loughlin is NO actor; he writes script like grade-school poetry and delivers it equally as bad.
This made "Billy Jack" seem like Academy Award material. It doesn't get much worse than this.
One of my favorites is when the gunfighter talks about the two mounts where the ship guides from and as they pan to one of them, you can see a radio (or) telephone (or) TV tower on it...in the mid/early - 1800s! Check it! I stopped and rewound the broadcast a few times.
Shows the notice to detail that jerk had (sarcasm)
