The Man in the Glass Booth

This film, along with seven or eight others, was specifically made for the American Film Theater (AFT) group presentations around 1975 which were shown by subscription only in selected theaters in the afternoon. I believe the producer was Ely Landau from or for American Express. In his message to us patrons he promised that this (these) films would never be shown on TV, although I remember I did see it on TV once and I almost sent him a scathing letter for going back on his promise! On the other hand this film deserves, even demands repeated viewing due to its complex and difficult to understand plot. Obviously, Maximillian Schell's performance is a Tour de Force and Lawrence Pressman's is none too shabby either.
Perhaps this film, as well as the others (The Rhinoceros, Waiting for Godot, does anybody remember the others?!)could be made available, also on a subscription basis. As I remember, these were all serious films deserving careful attention.
I hope someone else remembers and will comment. Regards, F-86A SabreJet
