Soundtrack

Anybody know if the music was performed by a particular artist, or was is just generic Nepal-type music? I thought it was quite lovely and haunting and definitely added to the "ambiance" of the film as a whole.
Thanks,

Hi!

All the music used in that film was taken from the "CAM España, S.A." archives. It's library music written by a number of unknown composers. In fact, there is some music in this movie you can also hear in another Paul Naschy´s flick, "Una libélula para cada muerto", which was also scored with library music from CAM.

Have a nice day.

Hi there, late answer, but maybe more people will be interested in the music.

First, it is true that there is music from this movie on the legendary CAM label on vinyl (CAM PRE 2, Italy 1969), a library LP which is hard to find.

But it is not correct that it was written by unknown composers. In fact, the melody which can be heard both in the main credits of LMDLB and other parts of the film is originally from a tune of Bruno Nicolai titled "Il Giorno Del Giudizio" (which means Day of Justice). This song was composed for the movie "Love Birds" aka "Komm, Süßer Tod" from 1969 (Director: Mario Caiano) for which Bruno Nicolai wrote the score.

Happily, this soundtrack has been re-released on CD by GDM (GDM 4106, Italy 2007) under the full title "Love Birds - Una Strana Voglia D'Amare" and is much more easy to grab than the original vinyl.

Hope this helps. Enjoy the music!
