The scene where the models are standing on the back porch of a tenement was filmed on our old apartment building! We had moved away from the place about two months before that scene was filmed. My brother was back in our old neighborhood and saw them shooting. Sadly, that building is long gone now.

If you look at the scene, I think they only really use one woman from the 'hood: that old lady with the bad teeth. For the most part, the people in the background would be just extras, but they could also be people from the area. I'm sure they got a little something for their 15 seconds of fame.
