Lucky Lady coming to DVD!!

Guess what everybody? In just a little under three months, a film many of us have been waiting for is FINALLY making it's way to DVD. On Feb. 1, 2011 Lucky Lady will be available from The Shout! Factory. If you find this hard to believe go to Amazon.com and type it in. Also coming is 11 Harrowhouse on the same day. These are titles from 20th Century Fox; so let's all hope that the people over at the Shout! Factory were able to crack the vaults over at Fox and get more vintage titles like they did with the Roger Corman films. For more vintage films go to WBSHOP.com and visit the Warner Archives and another one I recently discovered is Columbia-Classics.com. Please help support the independant DVD companies by purchasing these great older films. To many companies have gone by the wayside already.

I was thrilled to find this out yesterday. It's about time! Now if only Paramount would release Liza's "The Sterile Cuckoo," "Tell Me That You Love Me, Junie Moon" and "Stepping Out"!

Anyone know what the extras may be?

Good question. Ideally, there should be the trailer at the very least. In a perfect world, there would be the alternate endings--the original ending where (SPOILER)

(SPOILER)

Hackman and Reynolds are killed, and

the re-shot ending where no one is killed and all three principals--Hackman, Reynolds and Minnelli--are still together years later in old age makeup.

Otherwise, I'm just glad this underrated flick is FINALLY gonna get out of the vaults.

The DVD has two vintage featurettes, three trailers and a TV spot, but sadly neither of the alternate endings, going with the 'young and happy' general release version.

"Security - release the badgers."

A Blu-Ray release would be nice.
