shareThe music is by Prokofiev. The main theme you hear is from "Troika", part of the "Lieutenant Kije" suite.
shareI noticed that some of the Russian Opera cues were "stolen" by James Horner and used in his scores for Battle Beyond the Stars and Star Trek II during the chase through the Nebula.
Doesn't surprise me because Horner has a penchat for stealing from other composers including himself.
that was a good little film, battle of the stars. featured one of my favorite actors too, john saxon. and i liked the strange synth sounds used on the soundtrack. im sure i heard it sampled too, on a tune played here in the UK on radio 1's annie nightingale show a good while back
