I live in Europe and was shocked to find that Australia is the only place where this film has been released on DVD. I ordered it immediately, it wasn't very expensive and I can tell you, it's wonderful.
I highly recommend you to do the same thing!

Live in Europe too and got it as well from Australia (region 4) almost 2 years ago over eBay.
I too can only recommend it - great film.
It's now available in Australia even cheaper than before. It's been reissued with THE AFRICAN QUEEN (2 movies on one DVD) and is available for approx $9 (Australian). A great deal.

shareI got one off EBay that turned out to be an obvious home-made bootleg. But it was watchable (slightly jittery but not as bad as the worst dubs I've seen) and a little cheaper than the spanish release that usually goes for $26 or so. The film was OK, I got it mainly because I'm a John Barry fan. If I ended up liking the film better I suppose I would try the spanish import to get better quality. I suggest avoiding the Australian one.
