Harry Belefonte should have played 'Kansas City Mack'

No disrespect to John Amos who was great in that role, but I think "Geechi Dan" stole the performance on "Uptown Saturday Night" and should have been allowed back to do this sequal. We really didn't see the rivalry between "Geechi Dan"
and "Silky Slim" take off in that movie. They all had great chemistry, and therefore he would have made an excellent "Kansas City Mack"

I understand your admiration for Geechie Dan Buford, but I just love the slick,
cool devil may care swagger and attitude that John Amos brought to Kansas City Mack.

I think a better idea would have been to write a comparable role for Geechie
Dan; and somehow partner him with the John Amos character.

But then again, didn't Geechie Dan Buford and his co-horts go to jail for the
antics in the last movie?
