I disagree that it was the best because Deniece Nichols was in rare form making just about all of her lines equally the best. My other favorites by her in this film were "Chicago Mack? Chicago Mack, you think I work for a low class geechy like Chicago Mack? " or..... "Would you tell this child to get that toy out of my face? Before I make her eat it" (she was bad and sexy).

I was watching this tonight for about the 20th time and I must say I like the head of Biggie Smalls accounting Dept.

yea, she was cute and the idea of her buttoning down and not responding when denese got tough made her character believable, complex and of course funny and cute. I wanted to hug her after she got punked..... (then again wanted to hug her before anything ever happened). ps, this was one of the better looking casts. I heard ladies on my job rave about how James Evans is a real man and the guy playing Biggie Smalls, Calvin Lockheart probably never got the leading man POitier treatment that befit him (For example, singers and poets would drop the POiteir name in their lyrics). To think of it, Mr. Cosby is often involved in projects that have the nicest looking people. His tv show was notable for that.

If you're gonna talk about this being a good looking cast, then you DEFINATELY cannot go without mentioning JAYNE KENNEDY......oh my lawd.

She's a cousin of mine. When my second cousin had a family reunion down south, he said walking over the hill and to the barbecue with other family members was her. She was recently in the top 4 for best sexiest black actresses only outdone by Halle Berry and number 2 was Pam Grier who they jokenly said was also number 1 but so nice she made the list twice.

I swear everytime I see her in that opening sequence I get all light headed and stuff. She was the epitome of sexyness. If she was in her prime today she'd be killing 99% of these chicks now. I still would have to take Gabby and Sanaa first, but it would be tight.(Well.....MAYBE over Sanaa)

It was close to the time of America's sexual revolution and the dialog reflected this. The other black woman is called a "prude" or being part of the old generation.
The thing was they were married and it was a time when America was beginning to openly talk about sex and not keep it "hush hush"
Sex was freely discussed on talk shows and people of the time would find the "prude's" attitude annoying and not a couple's frank discussion.
