The video rights to THE LEGEND OF LIZZIE BORDEN are owned by Paramount Pictures. I encourage everyone who would like to see this released on DVD to send a letter to Paramount, requesting that they release it. If Paramount were to receive a substantial number of letters, then they might be motivated to release it.

What a coincidence I ran across this. I started an online petition a couple of weeks ago. You can go to:

Recommendations- Change the verbage: The movie was NOT made for TV, it was hacked (aka censored) so that the TV stations could air it. The original theatrical release was played intact in Europe. It did not find a distributor in the US, so it was sold to ABC (I think).

Recommend that the request be for HD-DVD, heheh.

A&E picked up a semi-complete version that they aired a while back, dunno if they still do. As far as Paramount is concerned, Last -I- knew, I thought Turner owned it.

#855 checking in. . . there's a PAL copy on ebay for those who have the right equipment. pricey, too. even a VHS release would be acceptable! i saw it on TV in the 70s, before home taping was an option. sigh. if only. . .anyway, keep those signatures coming and let's get this out to the public!

grj-3 - it's people like you that stop things getting done. If people think positive and at least TRY to get things done it's far better than having an attitude like yours. In England there was an online petition to the prime minister over some raod charges it made the national press and got it discussed in parliament so your comment is null.

I'm number 1435. I just watched this for the first time last night on a DVD that was obviously a bootleg copy. My wife was surprised that this is not available legitimately.
