I am 3 hours through and still waiting for the big payoff. I hope it resembles my subject line. I'm a film buff, but this film is stupid. It's sad that this is the only female-directed film represented in many 100 Greatest Films lists. Agnes Varda and Jane Campion must be like, "Are you for real?"

shareI actually enjoyed it. Just surprised @ my interpretation. See, I thought the second John hurt her. It never dawned on me that orgasm/climax is what set her off her routine on second day. We see her walk out of room with messy hair and looking startled. Forgot to turn on light so second John can see to put on his coat and pay her. Looks like he paid her less than first John. We then see her place the money in the dish, but she forgets to put the top over it. So out of her normal routine. I can understand some complaints about 3 hour movie, but don't get why some feel they wasted their time.
A lot of people do like this and I got the point but it was ridiculously slow and obvious. There was no need for the to run over three hours.
