Has this film inspired Ti West?

Ti West is a young director whom I like. His films are mostly horror films, which are characterized by very slow progression of events and gradual build up of tension. Many viewers call his films slow and boring, but of course, these people have never seen this film (Jeanne Dielman). I would say, Ti West is a right director for people who like the general idea of Jeanne Dielman, but find it just too damn slow to sit through the whole thing.

I've never seen a Ti West film, but from your description I am intrigued. However, Jeanne Dielman had me entranced. I don't think it's "slow". For a film to be slow, it needs to have a plot, and Jeanne Dielman doesn't have much of it (what is there is communicated largely through form and structure).
