You want to close your beaches due to something that has a kill rate or even attack rate with odds less than being stuck by lightning. Keep the beaches OPEN - its our constitutional RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

shareAlso to Hitchcock's "The Birds," in which things start slowly with people barely being aware of the problem -- one bird pecks Tippi Hedren on the forehead, another flies into a door and dies - but slowly the menace grows and grows and crows til the entire town is under siege and everyone is in lockdown. With COVID, the first clue was: toilet paper disappearing off the shelves.
