One of the very few horror films that gives me nightmares.
I still have dreams of the shark's gigantic head emerging from the dark ocean during the night.
shareI watched the movie when I was 5. I know this because I wasn't able to read yet, but I knew how to use a TV and a VCR set, and how the VHS with Jaws on looked like (my big brother was an avid VHS fan back then).
While he was in school, and my mother busy with household stuff, I snuck into his room and watched it.
Scarred me for years to come.
I had the worst nightmares about the shark hunting me and my family, following us swimming through the air(!), not being held off by anything, he was relentless. This went on for years!
Years later, I cured myself by buying the movie poster and having it in my bedroom.
Since then, the shark and me are at terms and co-exist.
Today, Jaws is among my top 5 movies of all time.
