Why hasn't this film been out in DVD format? I can't believe such a fine movie, and the only filmed document on the 60's most important singer, hasn't been out yet! What are you waiting?

Yes. It truly is amazing that this film has not been released on DVD. I own the VHS tape and would pick this DVD up in a flash, if it ever comes out. Most of all the other major rock concert/documentary films of that time are out on DVD. What is the holdup with this one?
shareMy guess is that money is somehow at the root of the problem. Somewhere somebody who probably already has enough of it is trying to get some more of it and not giving a *beep* about the fans.

If you really want to see this movie it is on thepiratebay. Download and then you can burn it onto a dvd, but the quality is about the same as the vhs version. Anyways, it's FREE!! though if they ever do come out with a dvd I would buy it in a heartbeat!! I only posted this because I think this is a film that every Janis fan ought to have a chance to see, and for some people this will be the only way that they will get to!!
