great song... ''rope can still rise''
captures too the feel of the times music i thinkshare
I totally agree.
Does anyone know where I can find that song?
I'm Not There. I'm Gone.
And I also agree that the song is wonderful. It's the 1934 standard "Moonglow" by Will Hudson, Irving Mills and Eddie DeLange. It saw a resurgence of popularity in the 1950s when it was used in the William Holden film Picnic.
The "rope can still rise" lyrics are not original to the song but are "improvised" by the Dreyfuss character.
