Is this related to Thomas Vintenberg's 'The Celebration'?

The Celebration http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0154420/, which was the first DOGME 95 film sounds like it has a very similar plot. Does anyone know if there is a connection between the two films?

No connection other than the word "celebration" in the titles.

In the sense that both films deal with dysfunctional families, they are related. Otherwise, no.

Nothing to do with Vinterberg but Storey's play was directly inspired by Kool & The Gang's song 'Celebration'....
