One thing to bear in mind is that this film debuted just over a year after Happy Days premiered. So, it was likely filmed right after the first season wrapped. It might even have been shot before Happy Days premiered. So, the casting of Ron Howard and Donny Most was, in hindsight, ironic; at the time it was likely regarded as just coincidence. (As well, Ralph Malph was a comparatively minor character in the first season of the show.)
