One good thing I'll say about this film. During the extras there is the coolest bed made out of white plastic in the middle of O's first boyfriends lounge

What I meant was, your reply served to perfectly confirm my initial impression of you as a pompous know-it-all who wants attention at any cost, even bad attention. Who else believes that taste is some kind of objective standard of which he is the sole judge, and feels he has the right to ridicule the preferences of others?
For the record: You are absolutely alone on this board (and among everyone I have ever spoken to about this movie) in thinking that Story of O is "unintentionally funny", if indeed you truly feel that and are not just trolling. Only a sexually immature person would experience nervous laughter watching such a movie, and only a socially immature person would make such a post to draw attention to his reaction. Hence, the "chewed food" analogy. Want some advice, Withnail? Mature men do not get attention by making fools of themselves in public.

Don't be ridiculous; I didn't answer his acrimonious post because 1) it wasn't worth answering; and 2) people who start out with "you can have the last word" are generally lying, and actually spoiling for an argument. I had no desire to argue with someone who initiates dialogue with insults, just as the OP did in his initial post. I clearly explained my reasons for attacking Withnail's post; it was Sulluf who wishes to pretend that my very clear argument could be reduced to the level of a personal grudge. "Man-hating lesbian", indeed; the assertion is ludicrous on the face of it, as anyone who has read even as far as my SIG LINE could see!

I thought they did a good job considering the difficulty of doing this book complete justice. Very few films completely live up to the books they're based on. If you had wanted to open a real discussion of the merits of the movie AS CONTRASTED TO THE BOOK, you would have said so rather than starting off with a slightly more articulate version of "this moovy sux", then following that up with a reply which both questions my judgment of films AND implies that you have some superior taste and/or knowledge. Then in THIS post, you attempt to make me look bad by claiming that I attacked you "for expressing [your] point of view", trying to turn it around on me. Boo hoo hoo, poor persecuted little Withnail! Bad Miss O, bad bad censor!
