Female doms

Hi! I have just watched the movie Story of O and well the movie made me pretty uncomfortable and kind of gross....I really enjoyed Secretary though....My question is kind of not really about Story of O and more about female doms....does such a thing exist? I have always been more drawn to dominate roles even though I switch...are there any books or movies about female doms?

reply

Sure they do; they're far more common in movies and TV than male ones, though it's often played for laughs.

Woman is the Earth and Man is the Sky.

reply

Yeah your right...thats really annoying! The only good femdom character I can think of on TV is Lady Heather from CSI...

reply

I can think of one from the movies off the top of my head, and that is Dana Delany's character "Mistress Lisa" in "Exit to Eden." The producers lost their nerve and tried to make the movie into a comedy, but Delany's character is played straight for the most part.

reply

Awesome! Wow according to that page it's based on a book by Ann Rice, I'll have t check it out....figures Gary Marshell would screw that movie up!

reply

Darkessa, I warn you that Exit to Eden is not a good movie. Huge changes were made from the Anne Rice book.

reply

I would suggest just reading the book.

You could also try Venus in Furs.

reply

And even the book is not particularly good. Be aware that it was originally published with Anne Rampling (a pseudonym for Rice) as the author.

say what ?
the pen name for ann rice was ann rouquelaure not rampling second ann rice was 13 when the story of O was first published. and the original pen name for the story of O was pauline reage.

Let's make sure we're talking about the book Exit to Eden. I'm holding a copy of it in my lap as I write this, and the author is "Anne Rampling."

reply

A.N. Roquelaire was the name under which Rice wrote the Sleeping Beauty books, No Late. She wrote Exit To Eden as Anne Rampling.

I was gonna say too many pseudonyms, but then were all using pseudonyms here on IMDB. haha

The most literate example is probably TO RIDE A TIGER, by the late Monique Von Cleef, a legendary Domina. It's probably not easy to find these days, but worth checking out.

Read the book Whip Smart by Melissa Febos. I did a review of it on my blog: http://quanahedwards.blog.com/2012/06/11/whip-smart-a-memoir-by-melissa-febos/

A female Dominant is comminly referred to as a Mistress. Before you go spending any money. go to you tube and type in what you want to see. For example: Mistress and submjissive or mistress dominanting slave, etc.

Then i would go on amazon and go to their erotica section. By the way, i happened to like exit to eden, for i took it as a comedy.

P.S.l
i forgot to mention, that a female Dom (Mistress) is usually more vicious and more sadistic than a male Dominant is.

reply

a.k.a. Dommes.

Well, there's the dark comedy "Eating Raoul", from 1982. Good movie.
