Has anyone ever read her diary? I know it was published in France, but I think it was a long time ago and I don't think it was ever translated. Please, if you know of any editions, let me know. Thanks!

at amazon.com they have a copy in english : Adele Hugo: LA Miserable

La Miserable is a book BASED ON her diaries and other biographcal information about her. Assume it is non-fiction. I don't believe her diaries have been translated.

I'm curious to know if her diaries even had any artistic merit.

While not her words...

Check out the "Selected Poems of Victor Hugo" put out by the Univ. of Chicago Press. It goes in the same direction, great stuff.
