I only just saw this on the movie of the day, and I've never heard of this film before. Now i kind of want to see this cause many films are made here especially ones that are based in old Halifax because we've got historic properties downtown. Im just wondering if anyone knows if this one was filmed in Halifax

Most of the story was happened in Halifax.But I am not sure wehter it was shoot there. The young lady came from Europe to Halifax alone.But,she always stays at her attic, so it's not obvious to find it is in Halifax.
shareMost of the film was shot in Guernsey, in the Channel Islands (where Victor Hugo spent many of his years in exile). Some of the scenes (toward the end) were shot in Barbados. But none in Halifax. Much of Old Halifax was destroyed by a huge accidental explosion during the first world war.
