Has anyone seen a black and white film about us navy airships which features the wreck of the shenandoah in it?i saw it a long time ago and would like to find it.

Someone has uploaded 3 episodes of "The Airships" on YouTube which features the scene you mentioned. It's a very interesting documentary about the history of airships.

Possibly The Court Martial of Billy Mitchell, directed by Otto Preminger. The wreck of the Shenandoah was at the heart of Mitchell's criticism of the Army and the court martial proceedings brought against him.
