Good cast, terrible film

For such an awful film, this had a wonderful cast. I can only imagine they needed the money.
Rod Steiger, Lee Remick, Richard Johnson, Eric Porter, Patrick Stewart, Trevor Howard, and Peter Egan and Stanley Lebor - Paul and Howard from Ever Decreasing Circles! Lebor looked the same but Peter Egan looks so young in this film.
