Little Edie was beautiful

Not only when she was young, which was undeniable, but she looked really good for a woman in her late 50's. Her skin was smooth, her were eyes bright with no dark circles or bags, and her teeth were white, with full lips that hadn't succumbed to the usual thinning and wrinkling due to age.

TBH, She looked more like she was in her 40's than 50's. I can only assume it was due to her spirit and child like existence (stunted inner growth, so to speak). No worries, no stress, and no problems because she didn't see anything wrong with how they were living, and as has been discussed here, was essentially living in the past. She still saw herself and acted as that girl from her glory days, which kind of translated to her dewy appearance, IMO.
