Scary scenes.

*spoiler alert*

I think the scenes with the spiders in this movie aren't scary(they are just funny to me.)

I think the scary scenes in this movie are:

- When the sheriff is saying something directly at the camera after he had the
conversation on the phone with the woman that complaints that her car
doesn't work anymore etc.
That face scares me and it's something you don't expect at all to happen.

- Every scene with that farmer that has that strange belt around his belly.
Everything about this guy is so irritating that it's scary.

- I have the same thing with that preacher.

I can probably think of something more, but I think this is enough by now.

This film just blew me away...

Alan Hale gave the performance of his career in this fantastic film. The cast was wonderful and they should've teamed up again for a sequel (although most of them died).

Go Packers.

I watched this when I was a kid. I'm arachnophobic and, believe it or not, this movie kinda scared me. Some scenes I remember that were creepy, sorta. The one I particularly remember is when some woman runs out of her house because little spiders keep coming in and she seeks shelter in some shack where she thinks she's safe (duh) and this huge spider sits on the shelf and jumps onto her. I don't know, just the way the spider bounces before it attacks is scary. Another gross scene is where the sheriff is eaten alive by the mothers of all spiders, while standing upright. I never had a chance to watch it since then. I'd probably laugh at my own stupidity. But hell, it worked for me.

Scariest scene...?

GIGANTIC PIPE CLEANERS BUST THROUGH THE HOUSE!!!

...and the sweaty, stained back-brace thing. ew. That guy was in "The Touch of Satan", as well.

I have 2 trantula spiders, and apart from "Arachnrphobia" none of the folm makers have ever got it right. Spiders (whatever species they are) don't eat whole. They impale victims with their fangs and inject the venom which is like an acid. The victim is instantly paralised and the acid type venom melts down the insides of the victm into a liquid form. This is then sucked out, hence the hollow bodies found in spiders webs. What a way to go eh?

Hey! that's exactlty how I eat pies!

You have to realize that these were space spiders. They can eat however they want to. They're spiders on the go. btw, it's "tarantula"

The scariest scene by far, maybe the scariest scene of any movie of all
time is the part where the redneck farmer walks into the kitchen puts
on the light and he is wearing the red long johns and it looks like
he's lactating through them.

reply

no no no...

The scariest part of the film is Barbara Hale's pantsuits.
or
In real life she was married to Dutch, the diner owner.
or
The town I live in is where Barbara Hale was born.

you decide.....

reply

I love her pantsuits! "Vaaance! VAAAAANCE!" That image will haunt me forever, that and her rolling down the hillside for real.

reply

Sorry, you're mistaken. Both Tarantula and Earth vs the Spider got that part right. They just didn't show the dissolving bodies, only the skeletal remains. In Tarantula, they did show spots of venom left around the victims' remains which finally led people to learn a giant spider was the culprit. All entirely logical (except for the giant spider) since the victims were endo-skeletal, unlike insects.

I think Ev sleeping on the bed with the shirt on. It was so scary that someone with that nice of a body wouldn't sleep in the nude.
