American title

Can someone explain to me why this movie was called "Trinity Is Back Again" in the USA? This is not a Trinity film. Or is this another example of clash of american VS european culture. It seems to me that americans too often have trouble understanding european films.

Law in Love! I do, too. Moo!

Probably to cash in on the success of the Trinity films.

Another Terence Hill film Boot Hill was made in 1969(before the Trinity films) and was released in the USA under the title Boot Hill in theatres but under the title Boot Hill: Trinity Rides Again on DVD years later to cash in on the Trinity films. Hill plays a character named Cat Stevens (!)and not Trinity in that film.

Same reason the Yul Brynner film Indio Black was changed to Adios Sabata when it came out in North America to cash in on the success of Sabata. It's all about making money.

It was called The Bounty Hunters in the UK - first saw it on the BBC using that title. Now it seems that they call it Adios Sabata.

Hi Sadowfax73, the film you are referring to is another film altogether. It is with Yul Brynner. I have it on DVD. The character was originally called Indio Black but was changed to Sabata when the first film with Lee Van Cleef was a hit. According to the Western Encyclopedia(edited by Phil Hardy) It was renamed the Bounty Hunters in the UK.

The film Un genio, due compare, un pollo is a Terence Hill western. I know because it had some notoriety in Quebec (where I live) because singer Robert Charlebois is in it.

I think it’s because when they initially screened this movie, they used the title A Genie Is Like A Chicken, and US viewers didn’t care for that name. They never bothered to get a second opinion from another translator.
