FRAMED is definitely out, since Netflix has confirmed that my copy is in the mail. Strangely, Amazon doesn't even have the DVD listed. I'm assuming it's on a small label. According to Netflix, it's in widescreen. I'm excited, since I haven't seen this movie since its theatrical release. I loved it at the time, but I was only about 12!

Anybody know of a web site where you can order this film on DVD or is it a Netflix exclusive? You can't order it on Amazon.

According to Dave Kehr's DVD review website (www.davekehr.com), Framed is available exclusively from Best Buy at the moment.

....Thank's for the tip! I ran right out and grabbed it. It's distributed by a small label ( Legend Films ) as a no frills release. Decent tranfer ( letterbox ). I'm still convinced Cronenberg was influenced by the garage scene when making the bath house sequence in "Eastern Promises".

So I take it by now you found the DVD. Can anyone speak to the picture quality and whether it's widescreen? I'd love to buy a compilation of these '70s grindhousy/drive-in flicks that are somewhat off the beaten path.

Fortunately, I found this on VHS at a thrift store for 50 cents. Money well spent.

The Legend DVD features a very nice widescreen (1.78:1) print.

What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life!

Hey, Hey_Sweden: Thanks for the details! I'm glad Legend is doing a quality DVD release. This film certainly deserves it.
