Question about trick effects shot

When the three principles arrive at the justice of the peace, they're standing on the front porch. The camera tracks right to the open window that reveals the wedding ceremony. I guess we're to believe that they rush through the front door, shed their coats and are suddenly ready to start the ceremony. However, I don't think they'd have time to do that during the slow tracking shot. I think there may have been a joining of the two shots during a slim black area of the screen. Opinions?
