Two flaws I`ve noticed.

First, I don`t think it`s ever explained why such a wealthy Arabian sheik would take a vacation or whatever he`s doing in such a remote place. I find it very unlikely that a filthy rich Arabian would ever just spend time there for no reason, and that reason is never explained.

Secondly, one would think that they would inspect the car since they knew that Blodstrupmoen had broken into the garage. And even more so before the race, the car should be inspected and checked that everything`s okay.

But since they obviously didn`t know about the damage being done to the car, it looks that they hadn`t checked the car at all before the race. I also find that very unlikely.

Correct me if I`m wrong.

Well, yeah... But the movie takes place in a "comic book"-kind of world, so i dont have much problem with goofs in this one. Its all silly...

I shouldn't really be bothered but in the 1800's and into the 1900's there were many famous emperors, generals and other wealthy and powerful foreigners who travelled around and visited the Norwegian countryside because of it's unique and powerful nature, like the fjords and the mountains. There was nothing like it in the world, unless they went to some even more distant place like New Zealand, so it seems to me like the writer was inspired by all these true legends about wealthy and powerful foreigners travelling the countryside with their entourage, drivers, servants etc.

That's true. As an example, the German Kaiser was vacationing in Norway at the start of WW1.

Well, the two things you noticed as some logic explanation to them.

First, the Sheik was there on vacation, which is not uncommon. Most sheiks and not to mention wealthy powerful people owns a piece of land in Norway, and that dates back to the old times. The fact he was there at the right time was just a coincidence and was luck for Felgen, who got a sponsor for his dream car.

Second, that whole thing was put there so two things could be done. First, Ludvig, who is a chicken and scared of everything, finally got the chance to show he was good for something, and second, how else to show the radar thing.. lol.

Not many mistakes in this movie actually, as the creator was a pure perfectionist. And the movie is legendary. The car is branded a national treasure in Norway, and its the highest grossing movie to date here, all genres included. It sold 5.5 million tickets total.

Just enjoy it :)

So those are the two unlikely things you found in the movie... Not the speaking hedgehog and magpie who are the main characters?
