Mark Kermode Shout Out
Just listened to Mark Kermode big this film up while interviewing Tom Conti - I'd never heard of it before & I can't say I'm the world's biggest Slade fan but I've ordered the DVD and can't wait to check it out!

Mark is usually reliable in his recommendations and this is no exception. Whilst the acting by the band (Holder excepted) is execrable, they still display charm and heart in abundance. It's a heart-wrenching piece of work, very brave considering they were chart-toppers at the time. The music is great, of course, but the atmosphere will take you right back to the Seventies, even if you weren't there first time around. Very good documentary (well, more a series of interviews) also included in special pack.
