I've never seen Female Trouble, Pink Flamingos or Polyester. I was too nervous that I was going to get physically sick from them. Can anyone describe a few of the "worst" scenes from each of these 3 movies? Also, are there any other John Waters movies similar to the 3 listed above? (Because I know Hairspray isn't like them.) Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I saw FT just once, a month ago. I had nightmares about the movie that night. I had bad dreams about it last night, also. Movies never give me bad dreams! I was absolutly shocked and appalled when I saw it. I can't believe I watched it. I felt like turning it off several times. I made myself to sit through it.
Some scenes I do remember. I began when Mink Stole was screaming at Divine "I'm not retarded!"
Let's see some things I can remember. Mink Stole was driving inside in a mock up of a car and pretends to crash. She puts ketchup on herself and a manniquin in the car to simulate blood.
At one point, Divine had kidnapped a blond and put her in a big white birdcage. Somebody was taking pictures of Divine torturing her and commiting crimes.
Somebody burned Divine's face with acid. It may have been the birdcage blonde.
Divine does a trampoline routine in an arena.
Divine, as Mink Stole's father, tries to rape her.
Mink Stole, to Divine's dismay, joins the Hare Krishnas. It funny seeing her singing "Hare Krishna!"
Divine, in the last scene of the movie, gets executed in the electric chair. I had nightmares about that scene!
I love Divine in Hairspray. I could not believe the girl in FT was the same one who played Tammy in Hairspray! It was shocking.
