funniest moments( please read and reply)

i watched this film and laughed several times i could tell of course it wasnt meant to be entirely serious but i could only hear a few lines or moments that i thought were supposed to be generally funny and not just funny because its dark or gross . of course i'm probably wrong and there could be several lines or visual jokes which i didnt notice and were genuineley funny so Can anyone one share some moments of this film that they found genuinely funny and not just laughing as release because of grossness or over the dark elements? thanks very much

Lately I watched "Foot Fist Way" and thought that Danny Mcbride watched a John Waters move when writing this. As for the funny, two scenes come to mind; the Christmas scene where Divine pulls down the Christmas tree on top of her parents, funny as hell, as well as Divine winging a dead fish out the window at Edith Massey who was wearing that horrendous S@M outfit. Love me some John Waters movies. I have most of em and they always put me in a good mood when I watch them /

Yes, the Christmas tree scene was hilarious all because she didn't get dim cha cha heels her parents had to pay.

Just way over the top stuff like Gator and Devine in bed together; Mink Stole walks in and Gator says--hey baby why don't you come over and suck Daddy's Di@#. Mink replies that she wouldn't suck that if it were the last living thing on earth. Divine and Gator saying that their supposed daughter --Mink-- is retarted.Devine having the baby on a dirty couch. The couple adopting the baby"noodles", that kills me every time-- a baby named noodles. It goes on and on. Devine's job interview where she when asked what do you do-- she says, " I am a thief, and a *beep* Endlessly funny.

ah yes thankyou very much that has reminded me of some of the funny bits that ive forgotten about i.e i think mink stole says i wouldnt suck your dick if i was loosing my bretah and there was oxygen in your balls(i havent quite got that right but i think it was something like that) and the look in the mirror taffy for 13/14 (i can never remmeber whcih) you dont look so good which if im right is funny because the audience is meant to asusme the daughters older because of her appearence (and of course mink stole was definitely older at the time). ah yes i forgot about the baby scene if i remember right i think dawn bites the umbilical cord which i imagine is menat to be comical ah yes of course now its really coming back to me i cant thank you enough theres also a scene i remeber where divine walks around arrogantly after shes had burn marks on her face and people look at her strangley one guys eye falls out in a very cartoony manner and she later tells the dashers that everyone was gawking at her because they thought she was a princess (when obviously they were gawking at her because she looked rather unusual). well thankyou very much for my first reply its really helped

When Divine is on stage and she does a back flip on the trampoline, and then when she asks the audience "who wants to die for art?" and this guy stands up and says "i do" then she shoots him instantly, then she just starts shooting randomly into the crowd..always find that part really funny...this film has so many great moments, I loved it.

The Christmas tree scene, Taffy's family moment with Dawn and Gator in bed, including the "oxygen" line, Taffy's argument with Dawn about becoming a Hare Krishna, Taffy chanting Hare Krishna at Superstar Nightclub right before Dawn strangles her. Off the top of my head, those are some of the funniest moments in my opinion.

I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked.

When taffy is playing car accident and pouring ketchup all over herself. When aunt Ida is entertaining the gay guy and keeps offering him pretzels. When dawn eats the meatball sandwich in class. Damn, it would be easier to list the things that weren't funny.

The meatball hero thing is not gross or outrageous but so friggin funny!

And on a personal note; I laughed when Chicklet (or was it Concetta?) said to Mr. Weinberg "It's hot in here".
I'm ALWAYS hot in public buildings like librarys and department stores.....especially in winter and fall when they turn the heat WAY up!!!
