Coming to widescreen US DVD on November 17, 2015

Shout Factory will release a widescreen DVD of this fine film on November 17, 2015. The old DVD was full-frame, so this should be an improvement.

I wonder why it's not also being released on Blu-ray? I suppose that another label might control the Blu-ray rights. If that's the case, I'd hope for Twilight Time, since they'd be likely to offer the great music score on an isolated audio track.

Yep! I got it... and just watched it. Very nice transfer. Beats my old VHS copies that's for sure!

Glad to hear that, just ordered mine at walmart.com, free shipping if picked up at nearest store,so about $15. Will post my opinion as soon as it arrives and have a chance to view it.

I purchased this DVD from an online retailer off of Amazon for about thirteen dollars including postage.
