2 DVD Discs

Disc two offers the most insite to what Orson was doing when not filming movies with other actors.
And it also shows scenes from his unfinished films.
He probably never had a dull day in his life.

I love the film, but haven't seen the two DVD set. Sounds great!

reply

I haven't seen it yet, either. (Probably another fake!)

It's available on Criterion. The catalog number is #288. I own it and will be watching it later today in honor of Welles' birthday, which is the 6th (although my original post is on the 5th!).

The vignette of the two newlyweds on the boat is eerily similar to the plot of dead calm.

reply

Both "Dead Calm" and Welles' film "The Deep" were based on the same source material.

Disc one has a ton of extras, such as Oja's commentary track. Also Tom Snyder interviewing Orson.
