DVD release date?

I have heard of a region 1 DVD from Subversive Cinema that is to be released soon.Any idea of release date or any other DVD of this movie, discounting the UK version which is cut by 58seconds.

I believe Barrel Entertainment is releasing the spacial edition later this year. They were still putting the extras together a few months ago. It should be out by years end.

I have just watched the new Bach films DVD French release.

It has forced subtitles, its also cut even though it says uncut on the box. Beware!!

reply

Yeah thanks.I already know of this release and how it still uses the cut print.Come on Barrel Entertainment, when is this out?!!

reply

Yes this was recently screened on Channel 4 although needless to say they used the cut version. As a Fiona Richmond and Linda Hayden purist, I demand the uncut version!!! When is this being released????

Yeah, I saw her interview "An Angel for Satan" on "Blood on Satan's Claw" DVD. Good movie by the way and should be in everyone's collection. She did make it pretty plain that she was embarrased by Expose. I've tried to get hold of Expose by any means possible including P2P, torrents and the binary newsgroups but alas have not been able to get hold of it. I demand that this be released, uncut!!!!

Barrel will get this out, but clearly it is taking alot longer than they ( or the fans ) expected.
I see the Alternate Versions lists cuts made for the US version but from what I can tell, the US VHS releases have all been uncut. The scenes listed all seem to be complete to my eyes.
I saw ANGEL FOR SATAN as well, and while Linda may want to forget this one, she had to have known what she was doing. I mean it's her in all the scenes, no body doubles or re shoots were done.

Barrel lists the title as The House on Straw Hill (1976). This would be the cut title. I hope Barrel isn't releasing it as cut and not knowing it is still missing scenes. What we would have is what happened to The New York Ripper, no one remembering scenes that are now totally and entirely missing, especially in the bedroom cutting scene(which still takes the cake as far as unblinking, unyielding hardcore meanness, and yes I have seen LHODES and others along those lines(Guinea was too fake for me).)
