I've got this movie thats been stuck in my head for years but the only things i can remeber funny enough is that its about a set of young twins going to mountain where they boeard with other sets of twins onto a space ship and for some reason i keep seeing the color purple ? If its not escape to witch mountain then what is it ??

Yes, it is escape to witch mountain, but not this version. You are thinking of the 1995 TV movie. The twins would join hands and there would be a purple light.
