Also a bit confused...

I'm also a bit confused with this movie. I saw it again after so many years last night on AMC. Then I was reading about it some more here and on Wikipedia. But on Wikipedia there seems to be more narrative that should come in the beginning about this movie regarding them being in a bad/grim juvenile detention home and all that. But the JD was not at all that bad in my judgment!! Is there more to this story that was maybe cut out or something in the AMC showing?

OHHHH...wait...never mind...I see now that I read the entry for the NOVEL and that there are significant differences between the novel and the movie!

Anyway I do seem to recall really enjoying this movie much more when younger. It's not the same now. Which might be an obvious statement but there are many other live-action Disney movies (like Treasure Island and Swiss Family Robinson) that still appeal to me in the same way now as they did 15 years ago so I guess this movie is off. Well whatever...

Oh and that Winkie the black cat was the BESTEST!!!
