Rod Serling

He does a fine job narrating these three segments, as if he were presenting them on The Twilight Zone, which obviously this film took inspiration from. Possibly Night Gallery as well, which he also hosted at that same time(1973). All that's missing are the paintings!

Spooky and atmospheric film, if a bit amateurish at times, though has a distinct aura of melancholy about it.

I think Rod Serling's narration is wonderful, far better than The Twilight Zone. You can feel the emotion in his voice with each story, his sympathy for the victims and the people around them.

The Long Walk stops every year, just once.

I call him the phantom narrator - he is heard but not seen as opposed to his stints on THE TWILIGHT ZONE and NIGHT GALLERY. Does anyone know if Serling actually saw ENCOUNTER WITH THE UNKNOWN and if so his opinion of the film?
