Was this ever shown as part of a series...
...or was it only ever broadcast as a stand-alone TV movie?
I could have sworn I saw this as part of a "Night Gallery" episode, but I could be wrong (it has been known).

Dunno, but I think I have seen another film (or at least a movie's back cover,) with a story resembling the second (hole) story.
Anyone?
You're probably thinking of the Night Gallery story titled "Big Surprise." It starred John Carradine as a creepy old man (what else!) who entices a group of boys to dig a hole in the ground where they'll find "a big surprise."
shareWhat they were supposed to find was Jesus's tomb, but it turned out to be the hole under an outhouse and you know what they're full of.
Nothing is more beautiful than nothing.
Re. the hole . I swear i also saw this as a twilight zone episode . it was for sure in b&w with good acting. Rod serling also narrating im sure. It was years ago but i remember crisp black and white and an old man walking the dog that fell in the hole. Any one remeber a b& w version of the hole? There is no such twilight zone episode..
anyone?
Maybe you should go to the Twilight Zone section of IMDB and ask on the message board there?

Yeah.
shareI've wondered if this movie was meant to kick off a TV series....or if they took three episodes of a TV show that didn't sell, and edited them together to make a movie.
