There must be some kind of mistake

I think the release in France was delayed due to ratings issues. In the documentary included with the three movie DVD set the producer talks about the French ratings board initially rating the movie to essentially be porn, and they weren't really inclined to change it. He mentions that because of the delayed release in France that theaters on in Spain that were near the border of France did a lot of business since this movie was released there well before it was released in France.
