Recommend me some (old) kung fu movies

Yes, I'm relatively new to the genre, but I absolutely love it.. Can somebody post me a list of great Kung Fu movies? I don't care about acting or storyline at all, only the action scenes, the fighting and especially the technique. The longer the fight scenes the better. I like good martial arts scenes, not all cut up so you don't see what's happening. Long shots is what I like (oldfashioned that means, because all the new movies have hyper cut up editting).

I've seen the Master Of The Flying Guillotine vs One Armed Boxer and I loved it. That's the kind of movies I'm talking about. I like Bruce Lee's style, but apart from Enter The Dragon I haven't seen anything of his.

Come on! Give me some titles (plus some explanation about the movie, as to why exactly you think I should see it).

I'm thinking of buying Ong Bak (Thai Box), Zhan shen tan aka Beach of the War Gods (swordfighting), Du bei dao wang aka The Return Of The One-Armed Sword Fighter (Yu Wang) and Meng long guo jiang aka Return of the Dragon (Lee). Good start?

The Return of the One-Armed Swordsman/Fighter is a sequel to One-Armed Swordsman. Both are worth picking up. One-Armed Swordsman just got a very good US DVD release, BTW. Return is a direct sequel, so I suggest seeing the first one before it.

Other old ones: One-Armed Boxer, the film before Master of the Flying Guillotine... Chinese Boxer, King Boxer (AKA Five Fingers of Death), Boxer from Shantung and Come Drink With Me.

Beach of the War Gods is a winner all round (nearly as good as Master of the...).

Don't think its had an offial dvd release tho'. There's a poor bootleg knocking about (might well have burned-on dutch subs).

&

Return of the Chinese Boxer. It's got exactly nothing to do with the original film- but it's got the old Wang Yu mad-cap n' meyhem bent to it!

There's a good few SB films he did in the late 60's (from one-armed swordsman onwards)- but the pace tends to be a bit slower than you might hope for. Golden Swallow is about the best of 'em.

Beheaded 1000- I think, one of Wang yu's last efforts before he 'retired' to do other things. It's insane...seriously!!!
