Creeper/Hamburger Pimp

Does anybody else think that this guy gave the only remotely professional performance in the entire movie? The rest of the cast, including Rudy Ray Moore, looked like they were either reading off of cue cards they could barely see or weren't able to say their lines and walk at the same time. Others would stare down at the ground and mumble their lines. But the Hamburger Pimp had his stuff together--he was absolutely convincing. When he was trying to grub a burger from that chick at the hamburger stand, you really felt sorry for him and believed he was a junkie--which, given the hilarious incompetence of everyone else in the cast, the guy may have actually been at the time. He never made another movie and, according to his IMDb page, died in 2007. Whatever the case, he was by far the best actor in the movie.

I thought John Kerry as Mitchell was good. And Hy Pike, who played the crooked mayor, was "Taffey Lewis" in BLADE RUNNER.

Listening to Jerry Jones' commentary on the new Bluray, apparently Vainus Rackstraw was an actual "dime hustler" who was literally hired off the street - and it appears he was indeed an untrained "method actor."
