NOT a rip-off of "Fritz the Cat!"

Contrary to what Polar-3 posted here, the only thing Dirty Duck has in common with Robert Crumb's Fritz the Cat(1972), is that it's based on an undeground cartoon which parodies traditional "funny animal" cartoons. Besides that, Dirty Duck is much funnier than Fritz the Cat, which means it a hell of a lot funnier than that lame sequel The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat(1974). Incidentally, every time I see Fritz, I feel more depressed for some strange reason. I don't feel that way with Dirty Duck. And the theme song by Flo & Eddie "Cheap Little Movie," is a barrel of laughs on it's own. It ought to be re-reralsed in a compilation of some sort.

I like the first Fritz. Dirty Duck and Nine Lives aren't so good at all...

I liked the movie, but the DVD (at least the copy I have) is all muffled and sound & pic quality bites. :o(

Trust me,

It's literally a carbon copy of the original without anything particularly memorable about it.
