Question on Ending ***Spoilers***

At the end of Diagnosis Murder, the Police are dragging the lake, looking for the body of a female victim. They find a body, and bring it to the dock. The body is, in fact, that of a male victim. The Chief Investigator states that "there's another one (body) down there", and the search for the female victim continues. Film Ends.

My question: Who is this male victim? I did not recognize him as any character in the film to that point. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks!

THE BODY IS THE GUY IN THE WHEEL CHAIR...REMEMBER? THE COP'S (JON FINCH) MISTRESS'S WHEEL CHAIR BOUND HUSBAND?

BY THE WAY THIS MOVIE IS AVAILABLE ON DVD FROM TRINITY, A CHEAPIE DVD DISTRIBUTOR.
A LOVELY PICTURE AVAILABLE ON AMAZON.

I was thinking "why did they have that whole sub-plot about the mistress and her wheelchair bound husband" and about 5 minutes later they drag him out of the lake. Should have seen that one coming!

I can't watch the end of this movie without thinking of the classic Elvis Costello song, "Watching the Detectives"

"She's filing her nails while they're dragging the lake...."
