Travolta's First
IMDB says this is John Travolta's first flick. Anyway I thought that was kinda cool that his first movie was with Shatner

shareI recognized Travolta from the unmistakable cleft in his chin that was jutting out from all that wax. He should be so proud of his work in this film.

But he's a Sweathog! That's got to count for something. Or nothing. One of the two.

Well, I must have missed this 'amazing' debut, 'cos I didn't see him at all.
"People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own soul" - C.G.Jung
I watched the whole film but didn't spot him, can you/anyone tell me when he appears?

I believe he is the one Tom gets in the fight with on the stairs and Julie sees the vision of the past in his eyes. He had one of those weird looking faces so you couldn't really recognize him, but I think that's who he was. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Not only is this Travolta's first film, it was also while shooting this film that he was first introduced to Scientology by a fellow cast member. A notoriously little known fact.
shareWeird this Carrie trailer presents him as his first role in a movie:

Little more than an extra.
Not sure if this film had any bearing on him getting cast as Vinnie Babarino on Welcome Back Kotter...kind of doubt that it would.

Johnny T is flagged up as a main star, like on the cover of the DVD and all, and he is on screen all of 20 chuffing seconds! He doesn't even have any lines. OR any eyes!

I only watched it for him, and I feel slightly ripped off, since I couldn't spot him... Thank God Tom Skerrit was easily recognisable; if he hadn't been, it would've been a complete loss!
